During the festive opening of the exhibition Transcendent Abstraction at the Koelwaterhal, artist Ronald A. Westerhuis was awarded the Silver Medal of Honor of the Province of Overijssel. The King’s Commissioner, Andries Heidema, presented this rare provincial distinction as a mark of great appreciation for Westerhuis’ exceptional artistic achievements and his unifying role in transforming the Koelwaterhal into a cultural hotspot with international appeal.

Tijdens de feestelijke opening van de tentoonstelling Transcendente Abstractie in de Koelwaterhal is kunstenaar Ronald A. Westerhuis onderscheiden met de zilveren erepenning van de provincie Overijssel.
